You are also able to move, tilt, spin and increase/reduce the intensity of each light, add gels and view your lighting setup as a rough lighting plan with descriptions of where each light goes, and save as an image to link to share designs with others.
Useful also is being able to select each light to be shown solo, which allows me to see what effect each light is having, and the impact on its quality by moving it closer, reducing intensity or angling it. You can also use a different ambient light in the background to see how the light's behaviour changes in different lit environments and on different skin tones.
I have used the tool to create some rough designs for a silhouetted effect similar to what we want to achieve in the interrogation scene, and I have taken note of the lighting map it provides for when we come to develop our lighting plans.
